I've read that when you don't eat, your body basically "eats" the muscle tissue to get enough calories, etc., so when you juice fast, does that affect muscle mass? Also, does it throw your body into starvation mode?
I weigh 165 and had a baby last year. I've gained 5 pounds this month due to some stressful personal issues (stress eating), and I've got to get some of this weight off. I feel really bad all the time (I'm only 28), and have a hard time working and taking care of a baby and a house. I have no energy to exercise and eat the wrong things a lot of the time. I did 1/2 day juice fast about a week ago and felt great. I just don't want the juice fast to make my body use my muscle mass and make me weaker. I also don't want to wind up gaining weight when I start eating again or because I'm not eating enough calories. Any suggestions?
