Hello all:
Newbie here, I been making all sorts of flat breads or cookies in my dehydrator but sometimes they are sticking badly esp when I use oats. I dont want to use anything with telfon, any sugestions???Are cooking sprays oK? what about a lit cocunut oil? Also is rolled oats raw?? can it be sprouted? how about plit peas??
Also I noticed plenty of recipes for sweets but what does anyone eat for dinner?
Thanks to all and I find this to be a very warm site. :)

I have tried coconut oil on kitchen parchment but I was not happy with it. I have found that directly on to the mesh is the best way and making it liquid enough so that I will not have to press it down hard but not enough to fall through. I do not use oats so maybe it sticks more readily.

I tried parchement paper also but noticed that the oats actually had some of the backign of the paper and we ate it, I noticed because one batch I used paper the other I didnt. I am just going to try a sm amount of cocunut oil and the mesh. If I find something new, ill post it.
Thanks,
Vivian

Have you tried taking the parchment paper off half way through dehydrating? For things like the flax crackres that is what is recomended, whatever backing you are using comes off easily as the bottom tends to still be wet to damp, while the top is firm enough to go onto a mesh sheet.

Hope that helps!
